Breedy Birds

Breedy Birds are the hatchlings of Chaos Eggs and their main purpose is to breed in order to generate a new, DAO curated collection of offspring!
This experiment uses the EMOTE feature on the RMRK 2.0.0 standard which allows people to add emojis on NFTs. Each Breedy Bird has been assigned an emoji by the project wallet and bird owners must use that emoji to signal their breeding activity.
The owner of a bird must emote a bird of the opposite sex with their bird's breeding emote to start a pending breed. If the other bird's owner emotes back with their bird's breeding emote, a successful breed will be recorded within 24 hours and published here. The parents' DNA will be used to generate the DNA of their offspring. The DNA is encoded with four base pairs that will be randomly sampled to generate the attributes of the offspring.
Note: since the original artist that made the Breedy Birds was not retained, the DNA base pairs do not relate to the Breedy Bird's visual attributes; offspring will not resemble their parents.
On August 25th, 2022 at 00:00 UTC, the breeding period will cease and the successful breeding pairs will be used to generate a new collection of offspring birds. New artwork will be commissioned and the offspring will be minted according to deterministic code. Each parent wallet responsible for a successful breeding pair will have a 50% chance at receiving 50% royalties on their offspring NFT. In other words, by participating in breeding you are increasing your chances of receiving half of all sales on your offspring!
